As the Coronovirus crisis continues, we have suspended all of our face-to-face events until further notice. We will let you know here on the website and by email when we feel it is appropriate to restart these get-togethers. In the meantime, we are having occasional conversation sessions via Zoom – if you would like to join us, please get in touch or sign up to our email updates.
Our programme of talks for 2020/2021 has now been arranged – please click on the Events tab above for full details. We are considering the possibility of hosting the talks (at least up until Christmas) via Zoom if larger gatherings are still not allowed when our autumn season begins.
Aimed at anyone with a love of France, its culture and language, Hereford French Circle holds monthly meetings at the Friends Meeting House (King Street, Hereford) running from September till May, with a Bastille Day meal around the 14th July. Most of our meetings consist of a talk by a lecturer sponsored by the Alliance Française de Londres, or other native speaker, followed by a short question and answer session. See our Programme of Events for more details.
Talks are in French. They usually last around 60-80 minutes and begin at 8.00 pm (doors open 7.45 pm).
Prior to meetings, we get together for a drink beforehand at De Koffie Pot at the bottom of Bridge Street. Please join us from 7.00 pm onwards (look out for the French flag and the group talking in French). Around 7.45 pm we move on to the Friends Meeting House (a 5-minute walk). Click on the Programme of Events for details of talks.
