Aimed at anyone with a love of France, its culture and language, Hereford French Circle holds monthly meetings at the Friends Meeting House (King Street, Hereford) running from September till May, with a Bastille Day meal around the 14th July. Most of our meetings consist of a talk by a lecturer sponsored by the Alliance Française de Londres, or other native speaker, followed by a short question and answer session. See our Programme of Events for more details.
Talks are in French. They usually last around 60-80 minutes and begin at 8.00 pm (doors open 7.45 pm).
Prior to meetings, we get together for a drink beforehand at De Koffie Pot at the bottom of Bridge Street. Please join us from 7.00 pm onwards (look out for the French flag and the group talking in French). Around 7.45 pm we move on to the Friends Meeting House (a 5-minute walk). Click on the Programme of Events for details of talks.
We also have regular conversation meetings at the Green Dragon in Hereford and occasional language workshops.
We have recently acquired an impressive collection of French DVDs. Please get in touch if you are interested in borrowing one.
