Aimed at anyone with a love of France, its culture and language, Hereford French Circle holds monthly meetings at The Friends Meeting House (King Street, Hereford) running from September till May with a Bastille Day meal around the 14th July. Most of our meetings consist of a talk by a lecturer sponsored by the Alliance Française de Londres, or other native speaker, followed by a short question and answer session.
Talks begin at 8.00 pm (doors open 7.45 pm).
Prior to meetings, we get together for a drink beforehand at De Koffie Pot at the bottom of Bridge Street. Please join us from 7.00 pm onwards (look out for the French flag and the group talking in French). Around 7.45 pm we move on to the Friends Meeting House (a 5-minute walk). Click on the ‘Programme of Events’ menu item above for details of talks.
We also have occasional language workshops.
There will be conversation sessions, usually on a Saturday morning at the Green Dragon Hotel in Hereford. These are usually at about two month intervals and will be announced a month in advance.
