We are very excited to announce that we are sponsoring the 5.30pm screening of Red Island on Tuesday 12 March, during Borderlines at the Courtyard. After that, our next talk will be in person at the Friends Meeting house on Friday 12 April 2024. Brigitte Thibaut will be talking about the Familistère Guise, a “workers’ paradise” created by industrialist and innovator Jean-Baptiste Godin. If you have already signed up to receive our emails, we will be in touch with details of how to join us. Keep an eye on our Events page for information about future talks and conversation mornings, or sign up to receive our emails so we can keep you up to date.
Aimed at anyone with a love of France, its culture and language, Hereford French Circle holds monthly meetings at the Friends Meeting House (King Street, Hereford) running from September till May, with a Bastille Day meal around the 14th July. Most of our meetings consist of a talk by a lecturer sponsored by the Alliance Française de Londres, or other native speaker, followed by a short question and answer session.
Talks are in French. They usually last around 60-80 minutes and begin at 7.45 pm. Doors open at 7 pm – please join us for a tea/coffee/soft drink before the talk.
Click on the Programme of Events for details of talks. We also have regular conversation meetings at The Yard in Hereford, as well as going out for meals and other events.
We have a collection of French DVDs available to borrow. Please get in touch if you are interested.
